A sweet lightly grassy tea. Strong difference in taste and color between infusions. Tea session with the family today. I quite enjoyed Vincent’s Gan Lu. It’s a very subtle flavor at first, the grassy kind I find common in most Chinese green teas, but it builds with each infusion. The color gets darker as well. Thank you, Vincent, for letting me try the fruits of your labor!
The bag is only 4 grams? Did we do this right? We dumped in the whole thing! It's at least 1 gram too much, if not 2; it looks insane in the strainer! I'll be glad when I have a gram weight again.

The dry leaves are lovely. They're very thin, with lovely twists of light and dark. They bleach quickly in the water. There's a lot of scruff! The taste starts off as sweet snow peas, and I think it was meant to remain there. With this set up, it gets very bitter very quickly. I'm not rating this because this brew was 1.5 stars, but I really think it should have been better!

Finally tasted Vincent’s Guan lu. Wow! Super honey syrup, chestnut, sautéed asparagus or artichoke, and a mineral finish along the lines of chalk. What an enjoyable guan lu.

Dry leaf smells like creamy sea air. We leaf smells more salty. The colour is pale and greenish. I don't often drink green tea, but I love jin xuan oolong, so I was excited to give this a try. It's a very pleasant, soft, and comforting tea. I wrote notes for just three infusions, but I'm still enjoying it. Also, after removing the gaiwan lid to smell the hot, dry leaf, I could -literally- read the tea leaves today! (Although where I'm supposed to go, I'm not sure 🤷😉)

This tea is named "Eco Green" because those tea trees grow ecologically rather than in plantation style, which means the leaves take more effort and labor to be picked. This tea was harvested on March 25, 2022 from high mountains of Ya’an, whose growing environment makes the tea bear richer content and more complex taste.会员笔记 8 条

I liked shorter steeps… otherwise it was more bitter than I prefer.
Second time...
I didn't see this posted, so I'm posting now.
The color is a nice pale green. There's a lot of debris. This is a tough tea to rate! It's very complex in tastes. Once we got past the bitterness, it was very fresh tasting.

There's a bit of lime, almost mintiness, and of course vegetal. This would probably be good iced on a hot day, especially with a little bit of sugar and actual lime added. It's very refreshing.

Trying this for a second day and really could taste the chestnuts and roasted corn! ♥️ less grassy today. Remarkably, this tea has a subtle cooling menthol-licorice bark that lingers in the mouth for a good hour after being drunk. I really do like the complexity of this one!
Well, this was a very complex green for me. I’ll be curious to see what others post. Over all very enjoyable hard to place sweetness, grassy, cleansing, and very viscous. Very uplifting qui!

Lovely green tea. Highball method today as I try to finish some green tea. I noticed yesterday that I have an absurd amount of green tea to drink.
A subtle, nice green tea that lasts for a whole lot of infusions. Great start of the day!
Nice, light, and fresh. Very pleasant, vegetal flavor.
Enjoyed this mellow and light tea!
Really enjoyed this tea. I think I will adapt steeping times to my personal preferences but the leaves are excellent. So fresh!

The color is very light. The taste is clear and smooth. It smells fruity and sweet, and the taste shifts over time to match that. It's vegetal, buttery, and lemony.
I liked the first 2 infusions but the 3rd was a little too light and then went into raw green beans. Not my fav but I appreciate the experience.
I actually had this on May 5th, before I knew of the "club" feature. It was sweet and fresh, very nice. I don't have a highball glass, but did use my fair cup at first, to enjoy the dancing leaves.

Well this one was kind of finicky for me and definitely better brewed and drunk at the cooler temps. Too subtle and not definite in any direction.

I usually love this tea but I’m only tasting a lot of raw and bitter. A sure sign that this isn’t right match for the status of my body in fall. What I love in spring, I cannot tolerate in fall. I was testing to see if it continues to hold true that my body has different needs in each season. I cannot taste any of the sweet buttery goodness, but am left with raw green peanut bitterness and astringency. I’ll put this lovely tea away until my body says “yes” again. Back to the puErs and blacks for fall
Due to delivery problems and really busy weeks, it was only now that I had the time to enjoy this 2022 Long Jing..! Good morning!

Finishing up the delicious long jing
I like to brew at the cooler range of temps on the majority of my teas.
Long jing will always be near and dear to my heart. After all this time it’s nice to have something that’s a bit different from what you’re used to.
Tried it gong fu style. Flavor seemed to last a little longer. I enjoyed it.
Tried it in a wine glass.
I wanted to like this tea, but it's not really for me! The taste is mostly bitter spinach that shifts metallic. It's very light in color without much smell.
