It’s my anniversary weekend and went out for a lovely brunch yesterday and today celebrated with my favorite oolong from the November box. I wish I had been proactive and purchased more back then.
Overnight cold brew! The color is a golden green. The orchid aroma and flavor are incredibly strong. It's a vegatal orchid taste, like drinking liquefied waxy leaves and petals.

Overnight cold brew! The color is a golden green. The orchid aroma and flavor are incredibly strong. It's a vegatal orchid taste, like drinking liquefied waxy leaves and petals. It's incredibly smooth. It's increasingly bitter on the swallow. At some point, it starts picking up a taste of peas or green beans.
Lovely floral & nectar throughout the session. Oily Mouth vibrancy and warm body sensation.

A lovely TGY to start the last day of the year. Wishing you a lovely night and all the best for 2023!
Overnight cold brew! The color is gold. The aroma and taste are orchid. There's a drying effect at the swallow. It's overall mild, but it pairs well with a strong dinner!
The dry leaves are compact and dark green. They unfurl really nicely when wet. The aroma is pure orchids.

I used the Zhuni pot that may have muted the subtler flavors but it’s gardenia, mineral, buttery, salt but not much more for me. Missing body.

Sits on the front of the tongue Better at cooler degrees (180) Tea with tea pal club. Not my favorite tea meh, gardenia instead of orchid but always good to visit with everyone.
I enjoyed this one but not as much as the one i had yesterday.
Last session ☹️ I really liked this one a lot. Flowery and buttery 😋
So good! Floral, creamy, bright, tart apple. 😋
Amazing oolong with light buttery and fragrant notes. Very silky mouthfeel. Reminds me of the flowers woven into the beard of the Barong.

Amazing oolong with light buttery and fragrant notes. Very silky mouthfeel. Reminds me of the flowers woven into the beard of the Barong. Just joined MyTeaPal and did my first session steeping the November orchid tie guan yin with the gongfu bottle. This tea is so beautiful it literally brought tears to my eyes! I’m still figuring out the app and have no idea if my notes for the other infusions will carry over. Wish me luck!
A tea that warms the soul. Loved it!
Mellow, buttery, floral. I enjoyed it!

Wonderful tea to drink at the beginning of spring. Creaminess was evident at the very start. Floral notes were marked but not overpowering.

Wonderful tea to drink at the beginning of spring. Creaminess was evident at the very start. Floral notes were marked but not overpowering. Low roasting allowed the floral notes to emerge more naturally. One of the best oolongs I’ve tasted frankly.
Absolutely delcious! Honeysuckle, floral nectar, silky. If over brewed more green oolong notes show up with astringent bitterness. Slight dryness in mouth but still hs an oily slick feel.

I accidentally closed out of the app and was not able to share my tasting notes and log fully so here I am creating a post to be able to share. But this tea is superb! LOVED this session.

Very floral, showcasing what a great light roast, light oxidation Anxi oolong should taste like.

Very floral, showcasing what a great light roast, light oxidation Anxi oolong should taste like. Not too much more depth of notes like a Taiwanese oolong would have, but that’s nothing but personal preference. One of the most floral, pleasantly aromatic teas I’ve ever had. Didn’t get to try this one back in the November tea club (November, I think?). Very pleasant, with a slight dryness and a rediculously floral character!
Wonderful tea! Very floral. 💛
Finally time for my first tea from the November club! Nice start :)
Overnight cold brew! The liquid is golden with a slightly green tint. The aroma and taste are relatively faint. There are weak floral and vegetal notes and nectar sweetness.

Another tea with Christian and M! The color shifts from light green to a strong gold. The flavor is somewhat floral, vegetal, and fruity. It's sweet, especially in the aftertaste.

I think next time I'll make this western style. I like but mild flavor for me.
I brew the last grams in the kyusu. Not bad all. It’s comforting holding a big glass of flowery, buttery tea in your hands. 😊
I had tea with osmanthus in the past and didn’t like it. This however is a completely different cup of tea! Yum!
I like this tea but it is less complex. Lots of buttery notes.

I like this tea but it is less complex. Lots of buttery notes. Lovely session with tea pals again. This tea was good but not super complex. I liked the notes of buttery leafy greens. I also noticed that it made me quite tired for the first hour of the session, until I had some dried cranberries. It could have just been that I didn’t get enough sleep last night though. Will look forward to finishing the last of this sample at a later date.
November tea club off to a great start!
Yummy!💛

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Gift from Vincent in a previous box since he knows I love TGY. Very close to the TGY I can purchase locally, so of course getting a 5. How can you not love the depth of flavor?!? It just works so well together - always my favorite. My desert island tea 😀. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully Thanks for the gift tea, Vincent!
The roast taste very much like a chocolate mocha coffee! Oily mouth feel, vibrant mouth in the back of the mouth. Viscous and clear infusion.

The roast taste very much like a chocolate mocha coffee! Oily mouth feel, vibrant mouth in the back of the mouth. Viscous and clear infusion. Did a back to back session of 2 very different TieGuanYin from the Nov 2022. Totally expected to be able choose a fave from these two. One roasted and spring pick the other an autumn harvest. Both delicious in their own way. Love both of the sessions!
Started today with this traditional Tie Guan Yin that I liked a lot! Pleasant surprise, normally I would consider myself more of a 'modern style TGY type'...
Overnight cold brew! The color is golden. The ash is really emerging again in the aroma and taste. Underneath that is mildly floral sweetness. It's somewhat drying.

Overnight cold brew! The color is golden. The ash is really emerging again in the aroma and taste. Underneath that is mildly floral sweetness. It's somewhat drying. Once that lessens, there's a faint nectar sweetness left in the mouth. Eventually, the taste shifted strongly towards orchid.
Dark green leaves that are tightly compact. The aroma is floral and sweet. The liquid is a strong gold. I like this TGY more than the others I've had!

Dark green leaves that are tightly compact. The aroma is floral and sweet. The liquid is a strong gold. I like this TGY more than the others I've had! I'm a fan of stronger tastes in general, and this certainly delivers. It's a well balanced combination of sweet fruit and roasted. The aftertaste is especially good when the roast fades and it's pure sweet fruit. The tea lasts for a long time too, both in terms of steeps and aftertaste, which increased my final rating for it.
Dry leaves darker than orchid tie guan yin Liquid yellow instead of green More fruity the orchid tie guan yin
I really enjoyed this tea. A nice warming cup during cooler weather.
Not my favorite of the November oolongs but a nice nutty and fragrant tea. Reminds me of houjicha but without the umami.
Nice session with tea club friends drinking this mineral tie guan yin.
Very nice tea! So complex and very interesting combinations of flavor.

Roasted. Lovely flavor. Hints of tropical fruit. Sweet. Took the day off. It was nice to spend some time drinking this tea with my sister and reading a book. It has a lovely roasted flavor that lasted even through the fifth infusion, with hints of fruit.
Really love this tea!

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 110 TDS water. Very good. Changed aromas and taste early on and then was quite consistent in the mid session. Very close to my favorite. Really liked the peach notes.
Returning to a tea we both enjoyed, but using the ZhuNi teapot! This tea has such a nice aftertaste. It's smokey upfront and then transforms into sweet fruit or buttery pie crust.
Late night tea with Katherine 2nd log with this teapot, love how it pours
Overnight cold brew! The color is a pale golden. The aroma is very faint. The taste is also faint at first, with only hints of floral and smoke, but there's still a delicious fruity aftertaste!

Funnily enough, now this tea reminds me of pears, maybe because the fruit is somewhat perfumey. Maybe plums. It really lingers, which is nice.
Tea with Christian and our friend M! It's a golden color with aroma and flavor that's roasted, sweet, somewhat fruity, and somewhat floral. The aftertaste is really good.
Lovely tea. The first brew has a strong barley taste. Reminds me of Korean barley tea.
What a special tea this is. I really, really, really enjoyed this! Nice to taste and discus during the club gathering. Thanks for the good time everyone! 🙏🍵😊
All 7 steeps were really good.

All 7 steeps were really good. So glad I joined the tea club, this tea was really good. I enjoyed all 7 steeps. I usually get tired of drinking the same tea for multiple brews but this one I could drink all day. I'm not very good at flavor profiles.
I think my tastebuds are still off but still enjoyed this oolong. Peanuts, roasted nuts, creamy, mineral, sweet bread
I'd love to hear other's experience with this tea!
Until this November package I had no idea I am such an Oolong enthusiastic! Wonderful smell, excellent taste!
