Not a bad tea, I’ll be happy to finish the sample. Nothing particularly striking about it, though.
Gongfu session for just me
This was a lovely green that lasted nicely

This was a lovely green that lasted nicely Teapal group session today. This green lasted at least 7 steeps. I enjoyed this one
Nice, delicate green 😋🍵 Loved the nuances in each steeping.
This was a lovely green tea. Very interesting flavor notes. I loved how it transformed over the course of the session.

This was a lovely green tea. Very interesting flavor notes. I loved how it transformed over the course of the session. Another lovely tea session with the TeaPals. It was nice to get back to a Chinese tea today—for almost a week I have been drinking French and American blends because we had scones in the house. This tea was delightful. It took me on such an interesting flavor journey, but it was also so refreshing that it is easy to imagine just drinking this every day. Pleasantly surprised by it. If I didn’t already have so much green tea to drink I would get more.
0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Spring recipe to make 50 TDS water. Nice savory green tea. Enjoyable, but lost flavor quite quickly. But, ranks pretty high for green teas.

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Spring recipe to make 50 TDS water. Nice savory green tea. Enjoyable, but lost flavor quite quickly. But, ranks pretty high for green teas. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully Usually I'm not a big fan of green teas, but this was very nice despite it getting weak pretty quickly. Really like the savory umami flavor of this.
First steep was a lovely burst of oatmilk notes, very surprising. Subsequent steeps revolved around grassy, vegetal notes.

Good, refreshing green tea with vegetal taste and umami notes

Red Fu Brick Tea features the distinctive 'golden flowers' common to other Fu Brick teas. However, what sets it apart is that it's a red/black tea, in contrast to the traditional dark tea.会员笔记 8 条

This is a very consistent tea, I didn’t notice a lot of change in its notes. I think I like it more than other consistent teas because it’s like Dark Tea Lite (TM). I still haven’t developed a palate for dark teas, so this is currently a very nice gateway, in that it has the forest floor note of dark teas, but still feels like a black/red tea. I suspect I wouldn’t like it quite as much if I knew dark teas better, but at my current stage of my tea journey it’s very enjoyable.
A delightful change from the usual oolong that I was sipping in the past few weeks. Woody and refreshing. Tastes like shou puer, but better
Delicious tea. Lots of sweetness and fruitiness, but also some good earthy and pipe tobacco flavors to bring it into a more savory level.

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. Delicious tea. Lots of sweetness and fruitiness, but also some good earthy and pipe tobacco flavors to bring it into a more savory level. It was still quite strong on the 8th steep and could have kept going, but I was getting full. Look forward to having this one again. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully This is the stand out tea for me for this month's club.
Trying the last from Hunan teas. I like this one because it has taste profiles similar to both HeiCha(red teas) and fermended teas (shou/ripe puerh).

Eyes - Dry Leaf: compressed, deep-brown, chalky leaves Nose - Dry Leaf: deep molasses, clay, and barnyard earthiness Nose - Wet Leaf: molasses, clay, and barnyard of a hei cha, with the fruitiness of a red tea Eyes - Liquor: bright golden amber liquor Mouth - Texture: medium and soft Mouth - Taste: a perfect balance between hei cha and hong cha. Sweet molasses, clay, and barnyard aroma, with a honeyed aroma of the red tea. Totally unique. Mouth - Finish: bright freshness in the chest, with a soft juiciness in the the mouth Nose - Empty Cup: berry and deep fermented notes Eyes - Wet Leaf: reddish brown and olive leaves and stems Body - Sensation: relaxed and invigorated in thought The first tea of the month, and I was excited for this one since it’s a totally unique selection. Suffice it to say, I am more than pleased and while my session was cut short, I’ll be spending a lot of time with this tea in the next session.

A soothing and balanced black tea. Fruity, floral, sweet, and lightly smoked like Lapsang Souchong.
A decent enough black tea. Missing the wow-factor though. Mainly malty with a little bit of sweetness and some faint fruitiness.
Still not bad, still not exceptional.
This is an okay tea, pleasant to drink, but nothing special.
It's not bad, but it's very average. I'm jealous of people who got a lot of interesting flavor notes! It's very generic tasting for me.
My old girl likes to be involved with whatever is going on. What an enjoyable tea this was. I’d love to take this one over for a sesh in the redwood grove!
Trying first tea from the Hunan teas theme. Quite good black tea. Reminds me about Yunnan black teas.

Really enjoy the dark sweetness, dark chocolate flavor. A bit bitter, but an enjoyable bitterness. Medium body thickness, wish it was a bit more round mouth feel. One star just because it’s a very pretty tea and has a fantastic smell. Taste wise, it’s close to a zero, since it has no taste at all.

A lovely green tea. Such an interesting development—smells like a white tea but tastes like a well-balanced green.

Nice green tea too. I think that the tea I had yesterday is better than this one, it was more sweeter and with umami taste.
Good green tea. A slight nuttiness that I really like. Strong artichoke flavor.
