I'm excited to finally try these teas! Rated 3.5 because it's not quite to my tastes although I can tell it's a very nice tea. It's enjoyable, I just wouldn't seek it out. That said, the aroma is fantastic.

Beautiful, elegant, well balanced. Complex like an oolong. Doesn’t get that wet newspaper taste after 5 steepings. Bread Wow! This was an elegant, balanced, gently complex black tea that behaved like and oolong. Raw honey, tangerine, fruity aroma, salt, breast, woody, lovely! From March 2024 MyTeaPal club. Wonderful!

Eyes - Dry Leaf: very small, dark chocolate colored leaves Nose - Dry Leaf: chocolate (cocoa powder), fragrant flowers (rose/geranium), spices Nose - Wet Leaf: sweet confectioneries (marzipan), geranium, and ripe stone fruit (apricot) Eyes - Liquor: golden amber liquor Mouth - Texture: soft and silky Mouth - Taste: honeyed nuts and chocolate, with a pleasant rose/geranium florality. Very sweet. Some kind of ripe stone fruit (rambutan). Mouth - Finish: sweet, with a lasting note of honeyed nuts and aroma of flowers and fruit. Fresh in the nose. Nose - Empty Cup: floral bouquet in the empty gong dao bei Eyes - Wet Leaf: tiny, reddish brown leaves Body - Sensation: comforting and happy Spectacular first tea, exactly what I’d hope for from a Qimen black tea 😁

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Nice smooth black tea. Second steep on was very clean, sweet flavor. Falls off quickly and abruptly. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. Very nice, delicate floral aroma and taste, honey, and slight fruity flavor. Wonderful mouth feel. Stayed very consistent throughout. Need to visit a nursery for a day in Spring and commit some aromas to memory.

Eyes - Dry Leaf: small, fine, brownish-black twisted leaves and buds Nose - Dry Leaf: honey, spice, flowers, and nuts, with more prominent high, floral, spicy notes than the Qimen Gongfu Nose - Wet Leaf: overripe plum and flowers (lilac, geranium), with a hint of spice Eyes - Liquor: soft golden liquor Mouth - Texture: smooth and honeyed Mouth - Taste: floral honey and toasted nuts. Sea salt minerality with a lasting height of lilacs and spring flowers. Mouth - Finish: floral, bright, and juicy. Lasting floral fragrance in the nose. Nose - Empty Cup: snow chrysanthemum and honey Eyes - Wet Leaf: fine, rust brown buds and leaves Body - Sensation: relaxed and bright Much more floral than the Keemun Gongfu, this one was spectacularly aromatic!

This is a much better tea at 85° than it was at 90° when I first tried it. Its flavour lasts longer, and there is very little astringency even with longer infusions. The trade-off is that the lovely osmanthus flower scent is also less powerful, which is a pity, because it’s such a lovely scent.

Simple black qi black with osmanthus. I added a bit more osmanthus to last longer. Otherwise not much interest but a nice mellow effect. 💗 Hanging out with Saturdays MyTeaPal crew for a mellow session with a simple scented Keemun. Not remarkable but not terrible either.

Qimen spice characteristic. Eyes - Liquor: pure yellow gold Mouth - Texture: medium and soft Mouth - Taste: classic notes of dark chocolate, ripe stone fruit/berries, and spice followed by an ever-increasing and lasting but beautifully subtle osmanthus florality Mouth - Finish: complex interplay with notes of ripe fruit and brightly aromatic osmanthus. Lasting aromatics and juiciness in the finish. Nose - Empty Cup: in the gong dao bei. When hot, notes of berries and flowers. When cool, intense floral aromatics. Lilac, orchid, and osmanthus. Eyes - Wet Leaf: beautifully delicate young leaves and buds with a russet-brown appearance and subtle olive-green colorations on the more mature leaves Body - Sensation: relaxed and cool but happy and grounded Stunningly floral offering, with more yet beyond the simple osmanthus. Ripe stone fruits (plum, tart cherry), sugared berries, and floral bouquets (lilac, orchid, and osmanthus). Subtle (but not understated) osmanthus plays beautiful with the sweetness of the base tea. Perfect balance, with a lasting aroma.

Fantastic scent, perfectly balanced so that it’s strong but not overwhelming. I love how sweet it is. Unfortunately with short infusions it’s too light for me, but the moment I steep it longer and reach the perfect taste, it becomes too astringent for my liking. Pity because it’s very unique, I would have liked to add it to my stash.

Love the aroma - would like a scented candle of that aroma.

Trying second scented black tea, this time with osmanthus. I enjoy teas with osmanthus, such as aged white tea with osmanthus mini cakes and osmanthus oolong, but I haven't heard of black teas scented with these flowers before. It seems to pair well with black tea notes too. I like both chloranthus scented tea which I had today and this tea.

Just some notes that I didn’t quite figure out, maybe a nutty confectionary note like marzipan with the honeyed sweetness, maybe toffee?
