0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. This tea changed a lot. Dark, rich notes, evolving into a bit of sweetness, bread and yeast. Nothing I would want to much, but interesting. Seemed to get weak quickly. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

A most interesting tea, I loved it a lot, especially once I peeled the tangerine and got the citrusy note that was barely present before. Very long-lasting and flavourful, an awesome tea for a special session.

   I had tasted a sheng puerh inside a tangerine before, so I was familiar with the concept, but this Tibetan tea has a much more pronounced tangerine smell in comparison. It’s zesty and so nice. Pity that once wet it smells like forest floor again, as does tea. I wonder what happened to the nice citrus smell. E.T.A. Oh, it comes back once the tangerine has cooled down some! Colour is pale, pink-leaning yellow. Taste is very mild, slightly sweet. A bit of forest floor, but not defined enough to be able to appreciate even that. Maybe I used too much water? I wish there were instructions on how much water to use. I wanted to taste that fantastic smell! 🥲 Mouthfeel is pleasant, slightly oily.

Taste is now most delicious, though quite difficult for me to describe. It feels mostly like citrus when you drink it first, but then it becomes distorted, till is morphs into wet forest floor. Most interesting!

    Accidentally oversteeped this, I meant to do 60 seconds only, so it’s a lot stronger than I expected. Major kudos to this tea, for being this flavourful at the tenth infusion. I do wish it had some citrus, though; it’s all forest floor, which is at odds with the fact that the wet leaves smell heavily of tangerine.

Eyes - Dry Leaf: beautiful, cleanly aged tangerine peel with a greenish coloration and yellow speckles filled with small, earth brown, shiny tea leaves Nose - Dry Leaf: characteristic fragrant, citrusy, and slightly earthy perfume of aged citrus peel with the gentle earthiness of Tibetan tea Nose - Wet Leaf: deep, earthy, fragrance of petrichor and savory citrusy zest. Potently perfumey. Eyes - Liquor: orange liquor with lime green secondary tones Mouth - Texture: medium and round Mouth - Taste: soft, perfumey, and sweet. Hints of citrus zest with a deep petrichor earthiness and a leathery quality. I struggle to describe with words the characteristics of aged citrus peel but it consistently presents a sort of perfumey or medicinal quality about it with a citrusy zest that doesn’t feel quite like fresh citrus. Hard to explain but easy to enjoy. A real treat. Molasses sweetness from the tea complements the aforementioned characteristics. Mouth - Finish: expanding perfuminess, with a salivating, juicy quality. Bright vibrancy, similar to the effect of a mint, without the minty flavor. Nose - Empty Cup: vanilla, earth/running brook, and aged citrus peel Eyes - Wet Leaf: vibrant lime-ish green/brown citrus peel with brown leaves Body - Sensation: relaxed, happy, and at ease Wonderful tea, hei cha and aged citrus peel are a match made in heaven. I’m very happy with this session and this tea :)

Strong citrus smell, almost overly strong like a citrus cleaner. Nice citrus flavor that also has a surprising mint high note as well. The novelty of this pushes it to a 4.0 for me. Three-country tea session! Most teaware was from China, but the higashi plate and the higashi themselves are from Japan, and the central aroma cup set is from Taiwan. I had long wanted an aroma cup, so when I saw this set at my local tea shop, I could not pass it up. Picked this tea on purpose since it has such a delicious scent, even though I don’t care for its taste. The aroma cup works wonderfully and exalted this tea’s awesome scent even more.
