Nice and fresh Good energetic qi Edit 4.5/5 i loved this tea

Cold-Brewing this tea as well. I put 3,30g of the tea leaves in 350ml french press and added spring bottled water. I left it in the fridge for more than 3 hours. Really refreshing drink with almost any bitterness and astringency, it tastes vegetal and grassy. Getting hints of spinach. The weather is too hot outside and this cold brewed tea is so refreshing after being outside.

Very good tea. Interesting flavors and beautiful leaves. Enjoyed the chance to relax with this wonderful Song Luo Cha and learn about green tea processing in the meeting today.

Eyes - Dry Leaf: tender, curled, green leaves and white, trichome covered buds Nose - Dry Leaf: sweet cream, soybean, and chestnut Nose - Wet Leaf: sweet corn, soybean, and steamed asparagus Eyes - Liquor: soft, pale green liquor Mouth - Texture: creamy and soft Mouth - Taste: creamy with subtle green notes of asparagus and soybean, with a pleasant chestnut character. Very delicate and refined. Savory rather than sweet. Mouth - Finish: juicy, round, and savory-sweet Nose - Empty Cup: super floral fragrance in the cup Eyes - Wet Leaf: tender, plump, bright green leaves and buds Body - Sensation: enlivening and bright A different experience and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I expected this to be predominantly sweet from the aroma of the leaves but the tea was more savory in the first infusion with a sweetness that developed through the brews. A rare case of a green tea that doesn’t give its very best in the first infusions only to quickly give out; rather, one which presents a good tea in the first infusion which becomes great as it continues.

Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

Eyes - Dry Leaf: very fine, curled, deep green buds and hairy white leaves Nose - Dry Leaf: starfruit/pineapple, flowers, and macadamia nuts Nose - Wet Leaf: tropical fruits/flowers, macadamia nut, and steamed vegetables (buttered asparagus/artichoke) Eyes - Liquor: pale, semi-viscous, yellow-green liquor with lots of trichomes Mouth - Texture: thick and creamy Mouth - Taste: creamy sweetness which moves to starfruit and macadamia nut and resolves on a steamed asparagus note. Flowers and peach in the finish. Second infusion is a fruit and flower bomb. Mouth - Finish: floral, peachy sweetness Nose - Empty Gong Dao Bei: lilac and rose in full, unrelenting force Eyes - Wet Leaf: bright, plump, leaves and buds Body - Sensation: relaxed and deeply at ease Wow! This tea is an unreserved bomb of fruit and flower, making it nearly impossible to get distinct notes in the storm of aromatics. Stunning tea, with starfruit at the start which moves to lilac and mangosteen/muscat grapes and finally to peach. Challenging to get tasting notes but a pleasure to taste! Very varied and interesting tea with lots of aromatic intrigue. Love to hear others’ thoughts on this tea!

Really enjoyed this green! Very nutty, sweet cream, broccoli, salted edamame. Lasted many infusions and was calming but uplifting. Had a great teapal session with many members today. This was a very nice Mao Feng! Very balanced, potent flavors without bitterness (it was not finicky), lasted quite a number of infusions, and had a calming but uplifted Qi. If I drank a lot of geeens, this would definitely be on the list of purchasing more!

Cake icing sweetness. Mouth - Finish: green and savory with a salted minerality. Thick juiciness. Bit of a floral fragrance in the finish. Nose - Empty Cup: freshly water flowers, with a distinct tulip and lily fragrance Eyes - Wet Leaf: supremely delicate and small, bright-green leaves and buds Body Sensation: grounding and deeply relaxing, almost stoning in character I had just woken up and was hosting the meeting while tasting this tea, so hopefully my tasting notes are accurate and complete. Super round and delicate green tea with an amazing savory sweetness. Sweet, salty, savory amazingness. Beautifully full and delicate green tea.

This is really growing on me. Tasted with the club today, which helped me pick out more tasting notes. My daughter exclaimed, “It smells like broccoli!”

A very good green tea. So fresh and nutty. Still going strong. What a wonderful Mao Feng! Loved how nutty and cloudy this tea was. I have an excess of energy now I so I guess I’ll do some chores and then eat my lunch.

In my opinion, this tea is better for coldbrewing than LongJing Do Fo, because it isn't astringent or mineral, while cold-brewed LongJing was a bit anstringent.

Very smooth well balanced tea Best long Jing ever drink so far Any astringency or bitterness Almost no pyrogenic note or wok hei 1. Bad 2. Drinkable 3. Nice 4. I like and i'm thinking of buying it again 5. Love it, i'll buy some mor Fighty insomnia with some green tea. Now i'm awake and hot but happy to get this delicious tea on discount because it is from 2024. It taste really fresh and good to me :)

Empirical Water: Spring Profile with Silica, extraction booster and buffer Thicker than previous brews, with no hint of astringency that was present at very low levels in the previous three brews (212f has a light astringency), sweeter as well with stronger vegetal notes.

Excellent long jing. Quite nutty at first, getting more umami notes toward the end. I love Jong Jing. A very chill morning, which I definitely needed after the week that I have had. Unfortunately time to get back to work after lunch.

Full bodied, savory, and rich, with a sweet finish.

LongJing (Dragon Well) is one of my favourite green teas. Really nice tea for this spring time. I have tried both LongJing West Lake and LongJing Shi feng and now Da Fo, but I can't tell which one of those is the best, I like them all!
