0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Spring recipe to make 50 TDS water. Mostly floral, but also a lot of sweetness with some subtle fruity notes. Aroma had more of the fruity notes with some darker hints of apricot and raspberry, but in taste was a subtle hint of sweet pineapple. Very interesting, different than a fresh Bai Mu Dan. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully
A nice white tea. Nothing really stands out, but it's very pleasant and easy to drink.
First tea of the tea club :) I will be brewing this as per the brewing notes Vincent has placed. The dry leaves are pressed into a dragon ball shape.

First tea of the tea club :) I will be brewing this as per the brewing notes Vincent has placed. The dry leaves are pressed into a dragon ball shape. It is a mix of light green, dark green and white hairs on leaves. There is a fragrant orchid aroma that is very sweet. It was suggested to rinse for 30s to open up the leaves. After doing so, there is a sweet bite like honeys and apricots. Delicate orchard notes and a sweet grass. —- final thoughts —— Very delicious, delicate and complex. I feel I could have easily shortened the infusion times to 5s and extended this session a lot more. The taste dances around grassy sweet notes and sugary sweet finishes. While being mellow enough to not be overwhelming, pleasant to sip on at all times. The aroma in the other hand is so good. It reminds me of eveything I fell in love with Bai Mu Dan, but it’s more complex due to its age. It has an additional dried fruit, like apricots added to the complexity. I wasn’t feeling it 100% today but the tea is very good and I’m glad to have the opportunity to taste this. Looking forward to my next session with this tea!

This innovative Loquat Flower White Tea combines 2018 Spring Harvest aged Shou Mei with loquat flowers, which were harvested and baked in Putian, Fujian in 2022. The tea, sourced from Diantou Town—China's first town for white tea, was then carefully blended and compressed into a coin shape, each weighing 5 grams.会员笔记 14 条

Best scented white tea ever drink. There is a nice complexity, it's floral on the fruity side, not perfumy. Any bitterness, very low astringency.

I like the balance between loquat flowers and shou mei, there is a nice synergy. The Qi is mental and physical, it feel awaking and relaxing while it soothe the throat. Easy to brew, satisfying and endurant i will buy more if them. Nice innovation There is an update version of MyTeaPal App Damn this one is excellent... Brewing while listening Trancelucide album from Hilight Tribe
I'm not a fan of scented tea but this one felt good. Nice complexity and complementarity between favour and aroma... It felt like sweet childish flavour. Noticeable and relaxing cha qi
Trying this Western brew! I think this is the first white tea in a while where gong fu brewing has dramatically out-performed Western brewing.

Trying this Western brew! I think this is the first white tea in a while where gong fu brewing has dramatically out-performed Western brewing. This never quite reached the same delicious balance of flavors the gong fu brewing offers, although the aftertaste came tantalizing close sometimes. I'm glad I did this on my own so that I didn't "waste" an additional serving on my mom; we'll keep enjoying the remainder together gong fu style!
Amazing aged white tea. The flowers don't make it overly sweet, instead the liquor is nutty and smooth, reminding of bitter almonds.

Amazing aged white tea. The flowers don't make it overly sweet, instead the liquor is nutty and smooth, reminding of bitter almonds. It withstood infinite steeps while retaining excellent flavour and aroma. You can tell its Lao Bai Cha with its honeyed, fruity tones; but the loquat adds a whole new dimension. So far my favorite from the club!
A delightful tea. Old books, licorice, spices, velvety thickness, a slight drying to the top of the tongue. The aroma is heavenly.

Bumping up the rating because my mom loves it too, and it's great a dessert tea. We're ordering more! I'll also send some to Elissa.
I like this tea with sweet, floral and fruity notes. Here is leaderboard for this month: 1. Aged Shou Mei 2014 2. Loquat Flower White Tea 3. Aged Shou Mei 2016 4. Floral Bai Mu Dan 2019

Strong floral aroma and elements of raspberry and almond confectioneries with a toasted cane sugar sweetness. Classic aged white tea notes of plum and flan. A beautiful marriage wherein the floral notes enhance the base tea instead of standing out in their own right. Tasted during the event, but this one was delicious! Apologies for the rather undescriptive infusion notes.

Really wonderful flavors balance and super giggly!! Linzer torte almond and raspberry jam This was definitely a delightful and giggly tea! 😂😂 the MyTeaPal Saturday session was in stitches the whole session.
Definitely my favorite of the white teas! It's so incredibly sweet, it's like drinking a dessert. The intense metallic note is the only thing I'm not a fan of.
Each cake comes wrapped in a small 5g cake with a pretty yellow package. The cake is a mix of faded yellow from the Loquat flower and a mix of white, brown and cream coloured tea leaves.

After rinsing, there is a sweet, delicate floral aroma which reminds me of redskin lollies, sweet berries and fruits. ——— Final thoughts —— I have nothing bad to say about it, I found it to be somewhat flat but it was tasty, juicy and refreshingly sweet. I love how it smelt and slightly tatsed like raspberries and redskin lollies.

Excellent tea. Aged white teas are one of my favourite kinds of teas. I enjoyed the sweet, honey notes mixed with fruity, cherry notes. I got more flavorful infusions than I usually get with other teas. I think I could get even more but I had to work so I stopped at 12 infusions. Sadly there is only one more tea cake left, so I will make sure to get the most of it next time.
Between this session and my other sessions with other aged Shou Mei, I've moved the style to 5 star making only my third tea style to get such a high rating.

Between this session and my other sessions with other aged Shou Mei, I've moved the style to 5 star making only my third tea style to get such a high rating. I love the deep cherry, raspberry, honey, and woody notes of this tea. Even started off with sweeter peach notes on this session. Very enjoyable tea. Dried 5g brick is very pretty. Large leaves, small leaves and trigs all pressed nan very tightly packed cake that is very solid. Aged since 2014, this is a 10 year old white.

Dried 5g brick is very pretty. Large leaves, small leaves and trigs all pressed nan very tightly packed cake that is very solid. Aged since 2014, this is a 10 year old white. Going to go straight for larger brew times just so see how this reacts. Rinsed at 100 for 30s to open the leaves. After rinsing, the smell of fragrant apricots and warm floral notes fill the room. —- final thoughts —- I swear eveytime I taste a spectacular tea, it’s when I’m running late for work and have to cut the session short. I feel I can get many, many more steeps out of this tea. Next time I have a session, I feel it will go for hours if I take my time. The next time I have a session with this tea, I will use a smaller vessel to explore the other end of this. This tea is intricate and I wish I had more samples to try, alas I have 1 more so I will make the most of it next time. This was complex from the beginning. Light fruit notes, unlike red tea which can be heavy and forward, this was underlying and subtle. Honeys, delicate floral notes and a really tasteful granular sugary like feeling in the teeth. At one point, the tea took a nosedive and went all umami on me and all the sweet notes disappeared, and as the liquor cooled, it came back. There was a buzzed, focused body sensation early on too that really drew me into the tasting notes more and more. I think this is one of the only teas that made me want more after the first tasting. Excellent.

It is a sweet tea, but it's not a strong or memorable tea to me. It doesn't have strong flavor characteristics for me. Slightly woody. Slightly sweet.

I like this tea as well but I prefer 2014 Spring harvest more. This tea is less complex in taste and aroma, but it's still enjoyable in the afternoons.

This tea looks, and smells like chocolate. Pressed into a chocolate bar shape with 6 pieces. It smells like a sweet, fruity chocolate. Rinsed at 100c for a few seconds per the brewing guide. There is a berry sweet aroma, a hint of cocoa and leafy notes. —— Final thoughts —— Complex, warm and vibrant. I am really enjoying this teaclub for this month so far, I’ve found all the whites to last an extended amount of sessions compared to my normal oolong / red tea sessions. Fruity, sweet, soft and juicy before tuning floral, apricot, berry and honey. Much warmer then the spring 2014 aged, slightly less complex but more forward tasting. I feel I would enjoy this tea on a cold night as I’d prefer the sling 2014 one on a sunny afternoon. For the next session, I will probaly brew with a smaller vessel and stretch out my infusions to be like 85-95 degrees and 5-15 sec.
