Lao Cha Tou (老茶头), or "Old Tea Nugget," is a rare and unique byproduct formed naturally during the fermentation of Ripe Pu-erh tea. During the Wo Dui (wet piling) process, semi-processed tea leaves (known as Mao Cha) are piled together, moistened, and left to ferment under carefully controlled temperature and humidity.会员笔记 3 条

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Very mild. Subtle earthy and leather flavor. Smooth mouth feel. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully
Enjoyed it.

Gong fu Nose: sweet leather, sweet earth. Wet nose: spice, dark leather Die 2 days with this tea. I didnt want to break it therefore the first steeps were too much. Allmost 9 grams for 100ml. But it gets a 4 because it could give me easily 15 steeps. Im getting more used to shou puerh.
Lost track of steeps but I like this one. A silky/oily mouth and sweetness. Good tea energy and elegant.
Good leather flavor. Nice mouth feel. But ultimately kind of middle of the road for me. Nothing too exciting.

Great tea but sad day.
I decided to divide the tangerine since only one is included in the shipment, brewed both tangerine peel and tea leaves in my myteapal gaiwan.
