Revisiting this phenomenal aged white peony king from Vincent. An exquisite example of my favorite style of white tea, bearing a distinct rose florality and notes of sweet white chocolate and warm hay.

I’m not sure I know mu Dan style wang peony, however I’ve never had such a strong and persistent vanilla flavor in a tea before. It was novel, and paired with a fresh green lilieaceous brightness, and a warm bready base note… I enjoyed this and might want this on a hot summer day again. This is a great mu dan. I have only had 1 I like more, but aside from that 1, this is top shelf. I enjoy the creaminess and the hint of melon. My review says it all :)

I brew more leaves than recommend, we only live once and i want a full experience of this tea. To keep a comparison i will brew them like Xing's tea. When i opened the bag i ve been welcome with fresh a fruity aroma apple, with cinamon. Strong clean delicious. Maybe one of the sweetest tea i have even drink. I did not feel a lot of complexity but the aroma i felt was very clear and clean. I think this tea is a good confort treat because it taste good but it not to explosive and overwhelming There is such an aroma gap between the first and second brew that i think this tea should be brew in one time. The 2nd brewed washed the very nice aftertaste i had without replacing it. After all very nice experiences i feel great Strong cha qi 1. Bad 2. Drinkable 3. Nice 4. I like and i'm thinking of buying it again 5. Love it, i'll buy some more

Light body, sweet, honey Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

The dry leaves show the quality of this tea immediately. Very long tippy buds with the most beautiful fine silver downy hairs covering them. Only the freshest bud plus one small leaf were plucked from the tops of each Wild tea tree for this tea, and the effort shines through in each glorious cup. Even though instinct and experience told me to brew this at my standard temp for brewing white, floral, or delicate teas (175°F), which I did at first, the recommended brewing temperature range was truly more ideal for this tea, and I got great results at 195°F. This was easily one of the highest quality white teas I've ever experienced (HUGE thanks to the MyTeaPal tea club for allowing me to savor this special offering!), and I wish I could purchase more. I find most teas "jump the shark" after the 3rd steep, but not this beautiful tea. If anything, the flavor intensified, without any dryness or astringency. The stunning floral notes one would normally associate a high-grade Silver Needle are abundant in this tea, along with bright sweet lemongrass-type notes, and even slight undertones of a light juicy fruit, such as pear. The floral notes in the nose and flavor are exceptional, with white florals dominating, such as orchid, peony (of course), and osmanthus. It's a symphony of flavor for a natural, unscented white tea. Although they complement the tea, they never overwhelm or overpower the white tea flavor of freshly plucked tea leaves and never overpowering to the senses. The mouthfeel is lovely, with a thick soup, and has a creamy texture with a lingering floral finish. The aroma has stunningly fragrant white flower nectar and a hint of lemongrass. Such a remarkably balanced tea, gorgeous to look at, and exquisite to taste. It is obvious that genuine care was taken in the plucking and meticulous processing of this tea. It is naturally very sweet and gives an extremely elegant teatime experience. I highly recommend this tea for those who love fresh white teas, lightly floral and grassy teas, and top-shelf teas. This is an exceptional tea, by far the highest quality Bai Mu Dan I've encountered, with a robust flavor, perfect balance of flavors, and simply stunning appearance of the leaves either dry or brewed. A stunningly complex and refined white tea that will please even the most finicky of connoisseurs.

I prefer a lower temp brew in the 90's range. It's a nice tea. Texture is great. I wish the flavor was a little more.. if sweeter that'd be great or even if just deeper in general, it would go well with the texture.

Finally in regards to the other white tea i have tried i'm changing the ranking of this this tea. Good tea with mice depth of aroma Tea is surprisingly enduring, i keept over brewing it and it still gave me nice aroma. If someone says me tea is always strong i can share this tea because it is very light and gentle 1. Bad 2. Drinkable 3. Nice 4. I like and i'm thinking of buying it again 5. Love it, i'll buy some more

A beautiful Shou Mei in the convenience of individually-wrapped biscuits. I dropped one into my Nixing gaiwan seasoned specifically for Shou Meis and away we brewed! This is a fairly young Shou Mei biscuit, and the initial brew gives a buttery yet floral flavor, and slightly aged Shou Mei fragrance that reminds me of old bookstores and basements (in a good way!). Even though it's young it's got a great petrichor and wood note going on that I love. Has HUGE potential for aging. The second infusion seems to always bring out the fullest flavor and that seems to be true of this Shou Mei. This one brings out a lot of the minerality and the slight astringent tang one might associate with a younger Sheng Pu-erh. Very rich mouthfeel with buttery tones on the front, and a slight tannic astringencyon the back edge. The pleasant "musty" tone comes through more in the flavor of the second steep. This really reminds me of a 2006 well-aged Shou Mei that I have, so even though it is far younger, you can tell it's already well on its way to becoming well-aged, but certainly drinkable right away as well. I would even consider this one to be a fine daily drinker for Shou Mei lovers.

Mild and delicately sweet, perfect for a comfortable, slow morning. Also took the opportunity to test the bottle infuser that came with my tea club membership and found the lid to be a little leaky, which was unfortunately somewhat disruptive to the steeping experience. I'll try it in a gaiwan properly next time.

First 3 steeps I did quickly in gongfu style, the resulting soup was surprisingly light but still full bodied. Deciduous flavor. Transitioned to a teapot over consistent heat after for longer steeping and the taste dramatically deepened and darkened as white teas usually do. I think I prefer gongfu style for this tea, unlike my usual white tea preference.
