Harvested on October 16, 2024 at 500 m in Zhangping’s Nanyang ecological tea zone, this pressed cake reflects the mellow warmth of lightly roasted autumn leaf. Native Shui Xian bushes thrive in fertile soil and frequent mountain mists, giving thick leaves ideal for compression.会员笔记 3 条

I think overall this tea is very clean tasting and has a very authentic vibe to the floral components it strives for. If you're into floral this is a 5 star I think.

I think overall this tea is very clean tasting and has a very authentic vibe to the floral components it strives for. If you're into floral this is a 5 star I think. The floral aroma stayed for all 4 steps I did at the same level, which is great. However, I don't like floral so from a personal preference it's more like 3 stars if I was tracking in the app what I want to drink, so I gave it 4. I brewed this at 206F, 1/2 cake in 120ml, 16,27,43,60 seconds.
Very floral tea. Pleasant and refreshing.

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. Very floral tea. Pleasant and refreshing. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

Harvested on May 3, 2025 from the 630 m crest of Shimen Mountain in Anxi’s Gande Township, this tea showcases the heartier side of spring Tie Guan Yin (铁观音). The bushes—heirloom Hong Xin Wai Wei Tao—are tended under fully ecological, organic management: no synthetic pesticides or herbicides, with shade plants and native groundcover supporting a balanced ecosystem.会员笔记 3 条

I really enjoyed the first steep a lot. But the subsequent steeps were a little more bitter and short and by the third or fourth steep most of the roasted flavor felt gone; but still had a decent green tea vibe by then (but green tea isn't my jam). I think it's nice though, if you're into greener oolongs!
Love a roasted Tie Guan Yin - my all time favorite tea. Exceptional!

A tea with no vegetal note, very easy to drink. Full of sweetness and with some complexity. Ecological management of the tea gardens. Good quality for the price.

Plucked on May 1, 2025 from the 630 m crest of Shimen Village in Anxi’s Gande Township, this tea captures Tie Guan Yin’s (铁观音) delicate, high‑floral personality. The bushes—heirloom Hong Xin Wai Wei Tao—are tended under fully ecological, organic management: no synthetic pesticides or herbicides, with shade plants and native groundcover supporting a balanced ecosystem.会员笔记 3 条

It is really when swallowed than this TGY shine with a nice floral bouquet aftertaste and a nice cooling effect on the tongue and in the throat.

I used to describe the signature note of Tie Guan Yin as almost cheesy, but I think “sour” is a better term.

I used to describe the signature note of Tie Guan Yin as almost cheesy, but I think “sour” is a better term. Regardless, this tea is very distinctively within its intended style and expresses the hallmarks of this style in an immaculately warm, balanced, and pleasant form. Fantastic example of a green style tie guan yin!
0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Nice floral Tie Guan Yin. I prefer deeper roasted varieties, but this is still a delicious tea.

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Nice floral Tie Guan Yin. I prefer deeper roasted varieties, but this is still a delicious tea. Wasn't sure I was going to like it on the first steep as it was very strong floral (perfumey), but it mellowed out and developed a nice creaminess. Even accidentally oversteeped once, and it didn't affect the tea. Hand‑picked on May 12, 2025 at 500 m in Zhangping’s Nanyang ecological tea zone, this competition‑grade cake is left virtually unroasted to emphasize fresh spring energy. After partial oxidation and rolling, the leaves are pressed into square form and gently dried without additional charcoal firing, preserving Shui Xian’s vivid floral top notes.会员笔记 3 条

Clean brew. If it had more flavor I'd give it a 5. Super light, and only notes we could find are hay and celery
Nice floral aroma and flavor and some underlying cream and butter notes. Smooth, nice mouth feel. Consistent, good flavor through all steeps.
