Fei Zi Xiao (妃子笑) is a relatively recent style of Wuyi black tea, named after Du Mu’s Tang-dynasty poem describing Yang Guifei smiling upon receiving fresh lychees. The name reflects this tea’s naturally sweet, lychee-like aroma.会员笔记 7 条

Fruit bomb supreme, absolutely delicious. Felt more like white peach than lychee, but seriously awesome.
Feels confortable, and aromatic without being harsh
0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. Deliciously fruity - strong lychee flavor. The only negative is it has a weak mouth feel, mostly water-like.

Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully
I hope this and the JJM are added to the store! Very good teas.
Wet leaves smell deliciously good, i keep enjoying them a lomg time. The fruity fragrance are delicious but a little volatile, by the 3rd step all have been mostly consumed. Delightful experience.

Nice quality (5 star), Clean and sweet. I just personally am allergic to lychee so the flavor isn't relaxing to me so it's a 3 for me personally. But if you like lychee, it's a 5 :)

This tea have any defects, it have some sweetness, it is not astringent, it is easy to brew. The fragance is soft and mellow, this will be some perfect breakfast tea to me.

The aroma are satisfying but discreet, my haven't been very aromatic for this session. That's sad because i really like to smell my tea.
It was a nice clean tea. I didn't get much flavor until the third steep and even then it's super light and felt fairly non-descript.

It was a nice clean tea. I didn't get much flavor until the third steep and even then it's super light and felt fairly non-descript. I did get notes of tart cherry, slight floral and slight woody but I had to swish it around in my mouth a lot to get the subtle hints. Which I don't have to do as much with others I've had.

This traditional Lapsang Souchong (or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong 正山小种) comes from Guwankeng Village in Tongmu, located within the core protected area of Wuyishan. The region’s iron- and aluminum-rich red soils, frequent cloud cover, and old tea trees provide ideal conditions for producing deeply structured black tea.会员笔记 3 条

Not a fan of Lapsang Souchong, but this one was actually pretty good - usually the smoke is overwhelming, but this one was more subtle. Still nothing I would gravitate towards.

Lovely color and shape. I appreciated how soft the smokey became the more sips you took. It's definitely got that wow lapsong thing going on but it was much better than ones I've had elsewhere.
