This 2023 Spring Bai Mu Dan “White Peony” was picked in April 2023 from Guanyang Town, grown at 680m+. It is a 3rd grade Bai Mu Dan and follows a classic Bai Mu Dan direction: more leaf presence than bud-only white teas, while still retaining bud sweetness and fragrance.会员笔记 3 条

Good tea but to compressed ao it doesn't brew as strong as i like
Great tea. Subtle sweetness early on and even a glazed cake aroma that smelled so good, evolving to more floral notes, and finally into darker, fruity sweetness.

0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Autumn recipe to make 115 TDS water. Great tea. Subtle sweetness early on and even a glazed cake aroma that smelled so good, evolving to more floral notes, and finally into darker, fruity sweetness. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

This 2022 Autumn Wild-Grown Shou Mei (寿眉) comes from the high-mountain area of Guanyang Town, at around 650m, crafted from Fuding Da Hao material. The tea comes from the producer’s own mountain garden, where tea trees around 30 years old are largely left to grow naturally with minimal intervention.会员笔记 3 条

It does need the full 30 to unfurl, but the 2nd and 3rd steeps were delicious, smooth caramel vibes (water was probably 197-208 F).

It does need the full 30 to unfurl, but the 2nd and 3rd steeps were delicious, smooth caramel vibes (water was probably 197-208 F). I over steeped the 4th, not as good due to that but still drinkable for sure. The 5th steep after my overstep still had some flavor, so it goes a long way.
Fresh, elegant, confortable. It taste unique for a shou mei, i liked the mazipan notes and freshness.
Usually a big fan of aged shou mei, but this one was a bit lackluster. Usually has stronger raspberry & honey notes, but this one was more woody. Still good, though.

Nice tight twist brings out an easy 4 steels of flavor. The broth is clean and soft. The flavors are delicate and easy to swallow. The notes had vibes of lychee and papaya.

Similar to Jin Jun Mei, less sweet and complex
0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Reminds me of an Indian black tea, but not as brisk. Sweeter high notes, but also a deeper burnt sugar flavor.

Easy to brew and satisfying on thermos A friend came through my town and didn't have time to sit at my house to make gongfucha, so I made her some tea in the simplest way.
Nice biscuit, i could taste the tea and osmanthus flowers, it is pretty endurant as it gave me 3 solid sweet brew. It isn't bitter or astringent.
