0 TDS distilled water with TeaCurious Original recipe to make 50 TDS water. Not my favorite green tea. I enjoyed the aroma more than the taste - wish the aroma translated more into the taste. Rating Criteria: 0.5 - bad, flavorless, or worse very astringent, teabag 1.0 - mostly bad, flavorless, most teabag tea 1.5 - not good, but maybe something to like 2.0 - slightly disappointed, not my kind of tea, but still can appreciate it - probably the worst rating I would give a loose leaf tea (at least one that hasn't turned bad) 2.5 - mixed feelings, like it, but there is something off about it I don't like 3.0 - good, I like it but nothing stand out about it or a very good tea with one critique that holds me back - probably the highest I would give a teabag tea 3.5 - very good, a tea that I was very happy to have but content with what I had, wouldn't seek it out for additional purchase 4.0 - great, very happy with the experience, would seek out for purchase, but only occasionally 4.5 - a favorite, one I love and want very often 5.0 - life will be very sad without it, reserved only for my favorites (roasted Tie Guan Yin & Dancong Red), room for more hopefully

I tried this as soon as it arrived, there was still no suggested tips. So I did it at 80° and loved how fresh and grassy it felt in my mouth. Today I tried the suggested 85°, but I like it less, it goes more cooked spinach than grass, and later infusions acquire a bitter note. No astringency whatsoever, though.

This tea was such a pleasure to drink. I loved everything about it—the leaves were such a vibrant shade of green and liquor is bright at first a bright, pale green. It tasted like both like roasted nuts and citrus, though one flavor or the other would take precedent depending on the steep. I did lower the temperature to 175 after the first two steeps, which I think improved it. I think this has to do with a recent change in weather that my house has not caught up with. Next time I have this tea I will investigate further. What a lovely tea seasion today! I really enjoyed my first time drinking Lu’An Gua Pian; think I have found a new type of green tea to be on the lookout for. And I completed the detail embroidery on the daisy in my current embroidery project! I only have the butterfly left before this project is finished.

Good quality green tea! The broth looks good, the initial steep was really lovely complex blend of toasted and vegetal. I didn't enjoy steep 2, way too astringent and bitter and tart for my tongue and stomach, but if someone likes that, they would enjoy this. I appreciated the complexity of the flavor notes through the steepings I did.
